Designs

This line up worked well however the last design to the right doesn't look as good as the other three but overall i'm pleased with my designs given the time i had to complete them. if i were to do this brief again I spend more time developing my designs. just to ensure I created the best designs possible.
Four designs using chunky knits I do like these designs, however I'm not sure if they are as young looking as I had hoped for them to be.
Im really pleased with how this print looks on my designs. this is my favourite print its young funky and current.

Im happy with how the two outfits to the left look although the designs are minimal the knitted print has so much going on. the two out fits on the right didn't turn out so well i'm not sure about the jacket over top and skirt.

These two knits and colours look great together i'm quite surprised with how these have turned out.

Knitting

Samples

Chunky knit sample. I would like to include these type of knits throughout my collection. these colours work quite well two I will further develop this by creating a print with the knit that can be used to show me how the knit would look allover a design.

Fluffy fine knit with holes. this sample looks better in person the picture doesn't quite do it justice. I am pleased with and I may possibly use this type of knit for my collection.

Fluffy fine knit without holes again the picture doesn't do it justice. I really am happy with this sample as the knit looks messy and thats the kind of look I want.

Chunky green knit. I like the knit but its not as chunky as I had hoped for. I also don't think this colour will be something I will use now that I have it in front of me.

Not so chunky knit samples, but I tried to make the knit look chunky by plating it. although I don't really like how it looks I will further develop these via Photoshop and see what I can produce.

Chunky fluffy knit is my Fav I really am pleased with how this looks and I could imagine creating an amazing jacket in this loopy knit.

Manipulating Knit Samples using technology.

Really pleased with how these two above, look this could simply used as a print or to show me how it will this type of knit will look on my garments.

Chunky knit manipulation, what can I say again I am happy with how these look but I wouldn't use the bottom one as a print. I would only use it to see how this type of nit will look on a garment.

This is my least favourite of them all I like how the knit looks but I am not really liking the colour.

These prints above I created by scanning in my fluffy knit sample and repeating it in different ways. I am pleasantly pleased with the outcomes.

These Are my Top 2! I am so happy with how my prints look on the knit you can still see the knit and the print.

Deveopment

Print Development

I started of using my primary images and paintings I had created inspired by Wenzel Hablik.

Above I have replicated part of these primary images in the style of Wenzal Hablik. I will now scan the images and create prints on Adobe Photoshop.

Here is were I scanned
the paintings and began
creating prints.

These are the beginning

stages of  my print
development as you scroll
down you can see how
these prints begin
to develop.

Although this print to

the left is very contrasting
to the rest I quite like
the black & white.

These two prints above
are quite interested the
one to the right has a bit
of a Missoni vibe but more
vibrant this is what I am
hoping for. I will possible
try to get these printed on
to some fabric samples.
These two prints above remind
me of Missoni right now. So I
need to stay away from these
almost muddy like colours.

These two prints above are my favourite so far I like the waves and the use of colour you can see parts have elements of light which looks great.

Moving on here I have used primary images to create prints I simply cut around the building and repeated it that played with a number of filters, which have created the print to the right which looks quite pretty. The different shades of blue give a cool feel although Im pleased with how this print looks, I intend to further develop this by possibly adding this print to knitwear.

I scanned a knit sample and
added my print not quite how
I had hoped it would look,
however I will try it with a
different print.Now moving,
on I will try out adding
elements of  technology by
adding primary images of
inside a smart phone.

This is a print created using

my primary images along with
the blue print I created
above.
although these colours are
dark I quite like how it
looks but I highly doubt
I will use this type of
print as I really want
a colourful collection.

These are the type of
colours I would really
like to see within my
collection this could
possibly be a print I
will use
.
Although I like this print
and its quite funky I prefer
the way the colours looked
on the previous print these
colours look a little harsh.

I don"t like this print as you
can still really see the phone
chips clearly not the look that
I am looking for.

This print is ok but again
not quite what I want its
a bit to much technology
for me. And two much
white space.

This is my No.1 print I think I really like the shapes and colours very pleased with the outcome.

This is one of my top prints as you can see below I have repeated the print to create a pattern Im excited to see how this will look. I might place my prints into my designs so that I get an idea of how they will look.

Moving on I will now begin sampling my knits.
